Robbie Fithon on the first of the Ravi Pindar Mysteries.

The reason for the delay in releasing Nuna was due to my referencing country music star Lucie Diamond in the book, and specifically er song Let Me Be Me. Obviously we had to await the approval of Lucie and her management before releasing the book.

Lucie Diamond is an outstanding artist and an important figure in the global Country Music scene, and as soon as I heard Let Me Be Me, I knew it was perfect for Nuna. So when I received the green light from Simon, Lucie’s manager, to go ahead and include the references I knew the story would benefit greatly from the connection with that song. 

I knew Ravi Pindar needed his own series, and I’d had the concept for Nuna down for a few months, but as musical references are an integral element in my books, I knew the main song had to be something really special.

The fact that Nuna identified with Lucie’s work added substance to the character and helped to establish her as intellectually and emotionally astute, while essentially still socially underdeveloped, due to her adverse upbringing.
“Let Me Be Me” could have been written for Jack and Nuna; it’s the perfect song, not just lyrically but musically too, there couldn’t have been a more perfect fit.

Standalone novel announced

Robbie Fithon has confirmed that a standalone novel will be released soon. The book, titled The Girl With The Priyanka Chopra Eyes is a Hardboiled/Noir detective thriller featuring an all new cast of characters, set in the same universe as Robbie Fithon's other books.
